RT Academy expands its reach: course for young media professionals from South Asia begins

The International Journalism course received more than 1,000 applications – we selected 500 participants from India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The programme brings together young journalists from leading media outlets and students from universities across the region, including UPES, Bennett University, Amity University, JNU, University of Vocational Technology, University of Delhi, Kardan University, Avichi College, Vellore Institute and others.

The curriculum features over 40 video lectures and webinars with RT experts, covering on-camera and live broadcasting work, filming and editing, social media content creation, fact-checking, interviewing and the full news production cycle.

The online course was previously run for media professionals from India, and has now expanded to participants from across South Asia.
